"Aishes Chayil" A Woman of Valor is a hymn dedicated to the perfect wife. Engraved on the Base of one candlestick is the first four verses from Aishes Chayil and on the other candlestick the final four verses. At the top around the gold candleholder, I have engraved: "Shamor Et HaShbat LeKodesho" (Observe the Sabbath day, to keep it holy) and on the other "Zachor Et HaShbat LeKodesho" (Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy) because this is the essence of the Shabbat. One of the most important Mitzvot bestowed upon a woman is the lighting of the Shabbat candles. As the woman performs this great Mitzvah she is praised for all of her accomplishments, reminding her that she is truly an Aishes Chayil.
