Inspired by the main prayer from the Havdalah ceremony, I have expressed its meaning within this form. In this design the Havdalah Set represents the essence of the Sabbath. I have emphasized the distinction between the Sabbath and the six days of labor by surrounding the Havdalah Set with an original Amalya Nini watercolor painting of the six days of creation as described in Genesis. The depictions are encased in a Star of David, signifying the distinction "between Israel and the nations…" Engraved on the silver under each depiction is part of the phrase from the Bible describing that day. The Spice Box, Candleholder and Kiddush Cup unite, accentuating the spiritual height of the Sabbath. During the week, the spices contained at the tip of this Havdalah Set guide us like a fragrant lighthouse through "the six days of labor…" to the coming Sabbath.
